THE CHALLENGE

Every project is made up of many unique variables - the people that are being designed for, the building which is being worked in and the land which is being built on, are three common examples.

As designers we must choose in what order to prioritise those variables when deciding how to approach a new scheme.

Every company’s approach is different, but it is vital that the priorities of the design team and of the client align with one another in order to achieve as good an outcome as possible.

OUR SOLUTION

At IAD we believe that the best way to begin any design process is to truly understand the people involved, who they are, how they live, what they love, what they don’t, what are their dreams and what are their nightmares. Taking the time to learn these things at the very beginning of the process helps shape the way we view all of the other project variables, and allows us to best understand and leverage the opportunities which each of them has to offer.

Our design focus is person-centred, and we have spent over a decade refining that, specialising our approach, and building a team who understand and believe in the way we do things.

If our approach resonates with how you like to operate, then we are the right team for you.

NOT FOR PROFIT

In June 2019, The IAD Company took the plunge and switched business models to become a fully not-for-profit organisation.

As a company, we have always looked for ways to support great causes either through financial donations or with uncharged design work.

The Company's progression into a non-profit organisation was a really natural next step for us as a team and is going to turbocharge our commitment to grow and develop the business going forwards. â€‹
